The Plateau's best terraces for a spring evening

April 30, 2026 · 4 min read

There's a specific week every spring when every terrace in the Plateau fills up at once, regardless of quality, because everyone is just relieved to sit outside again. Most of it isn't worth the wait. A few spots are.

The ones worth it share a pattern: they were built as terraces, not converted from a parking spot with some string lights strung over it. Real greenery, real shade by 5pm, and — the detail that actually matters — a kitchen that doesn't slow down just because half the seating moved outside.

Go on a Tuesday if you can. The good ones are unbearable by Friday and exactly right on a weeknight, which is when you'll actually get to enjoy the thing you came for instead of just claiming a table.
